Solid Reasons Why Hating On Patoranking Is A Terrible, Terrible Idea

Solid Reasons Why Hating On Patoranking Is A Terrible, Terrible Idea

Patoranking
I love Patoranking!
So I really cannot fathom the disparity of thoughts over why he should or shouldn’t be a judge on a music show. A lot of astute music heads have labeled their sentiments since the selection process was unveiled to the public. Reasons ranged from the illest things like ‘he is too streets’ to quite valid points like ‘he doesn’t possess superb vocals’.
Agreed!
But I think it’s unfair if we have to use these weighing standards to undermine the quality of musical showmanship Patoranking exudes in his artiste person. Patoranking is a firebrand artiste, feel free to quote me anywhere. And there’s no other like him in our industry. Of course, more fitting choices to replace him would include the likes of Banky W to even Wande Coal – guys who we know have come into the awareness of their music stuff. Or did you think the show organizers didn’t put that into consideration? Wait.
What you perhaps never cared to realize, was the hidden revelation that the show management unanimously arrived at. Patoranking equates diversity! Think of it, while the other mentors radiate a certain grace, poise and aura in their different turfs that share one too many similarities, Patoranking’s obvious radical element is an essential outside-the-box ingredient that not only seeks to balance out neutrality but also complements the mentors’ squad ultimate objective in finding the voice. He may not be a superb vocalist, but you can agree that he’s proven his musical essence with his ear for good and pleasurable sounds. He may not have an album, but then again, is that really a point for standard to consider especially in an industry like ours? Maybe you should have a rethink. He may be too streets, but we know how the popular saying goes about Jack being a dull boy because of all work and no play.
As a mentor, you should be properly vested in a variety of fields, and with appropriate experience to inspire another. Patoranking hasn’t defaulted. Musically, he’s on point. His rags to riches story is enough motivation to keep the focused going. And his ‘live today, worry later about tomorrow’ philosophical disposition to life teaches you to appropriate your hope strategies. While some have chosen to remain blindsided by his supposed inability to curl notes into marathon-like vocal runs like an R. Kelly would, we’ve already found Patoranking worthy in wielding the rudiments for character, people management and musical skill. And I’m sure these reasons are majorly why talents with better prospects found their way into his camp. They know that their winning edge isn’t factored only on an adept vocal prowess, it shares points with an ability to switch between personas, decipher moods in music and slay the hell outta that performance even if you might not have to jump unnecessarily and perspire profusely. Patoranking understands that.
Remember Patoranking’s reggaeton and dance hall genre is like the most difficult to gain acceptance (no thanks at all to today’s Nigerian sound) but his show of diversity in doing it, has put him at par with some of the best musicians especially at home and even abroad. If achieving this feat doesn’t tell you about his hardwork and patience virtue, I don’t know what else will. I recall Nonso, a contestant on the show who was torn with the dilemma of choice, but finally stuck with Patoranking after realizing that his call reached into his soul. That’s a connection even I can’t explain, but what I know is it’s the kind of connection that launches you into success that lurks in waiting. So it really isn’t out of place that the whayasay crooner has been tasked with the responsibility of giving guidance to an upcoming star. I strongly believe that he is armed in accordance to deliver. Now with these few points of mine, I hope have be able to convince you and not confuse you…

The Federal Government has on Thursday announced the termination of Post UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination), even as it pegged the minimum cut off mark for tertiary institutions in the country at 180.

Speaking at the 2016 policy meeting of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on behalf of the federal government, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, stated that tertiary institutions were at liberty to screen applicants, but stressed against subjecting them to a second examination process.

He said: “JAMB is one of the most active parastatals in the ministry; I expect that policies that would be beneficial to Nigerian students should be discussed at this meeting.”

“As far as I am concerned, the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing. The universities should not be holding another examination.

“If the universities have any complain against JAMB, let them bring it and then we address it.

“I believe there should be no ground to lower the quality; November. 30 remains the closing date for 2016 admission. No institution should exceed its quota in admission; we will start issuing penalties to defaulting institutions.”

Adamu also warned JAMB to stop extra charges for change of course, change of school, among others.

Also speaking at the meeting, the JAMB registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, confirmed 180 as the minimum cut off mark for tertiary institutions in country.

His words: “One-hundred-and-eighty is given and no institution will go below 180 this year; some universities can go above it, I know Obafemi Awolowo University of Ife, will not go below 200 and University of Lagos will not go below 200, and also University of Ibadan. All these ones stand. But 180 is a bench mark for others.

DNA Test Confirms Wizkid Fathered Binta Diallo’s Child
Back in January, Diallo had burst into the Nigerian entertainment news scene after she claimed that Wizkid was the father of her newly born child.
Wizkid, who already has a 5-year old son, didn’t claim the child but that didn’t deter Diallo, who had gone ahead to name the child Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid’s real name.
Wizkid however seems to have agreed to a paternity test, and the results are pretty straightforward. According to the results, the Amin singer “cannot be excluded as the biological father of the child” as the “probability of paternity is 99.99%”
Well then, congratulations are in order. Congrats, Wizkid!

Kardashian

Is a naked pregnancy selfie on the way? Blac Chyna pulled a Kardashian on Thursday, posting a mirror selfie that featured her bare baby bump on Snapchat and Instagram. The 28-year-old model and TV personality wore colorful pants from her own line and a black bra top.
Rob Kardashian's fiancée, flaunted her assets in the skin-tight look, reminding us of Kim Kardashian**'s now-infamous pregnancy poses.
First they say I'm too skinny so I have to be faking it...Now they say I'm too big so I have to be faking it...SMH! Some days I'm photographed before I eat & look smaller, some days I've just eaten & I look bigger. It's all a part of the process. I think you all know me well enough to know I would document the process if I got a surrogate. Everyone's body is different, every pregnancy is very different! I've learned to love my body at every stage! I'm going to get even bigger & that's beautiful too! I'm blessed to even be pregnant & even luckier to not have preeclampsia as far as I know, so I don't have the swelling issue this time! They also say your body carries a boy different than a girl! Whatever the case may be I'm grateful to God for this miracle & no matter what rumors or comments you throw my way this time they truly don't affect me! #NoFilter #NoPhotoShop #GoodLighting 😜

New Evidence: The Real Reason Gaddafi Was Killed

New Evidence: The Real Reason Gaddafi Was Killed

NATO-Killed-Gaddafi-to-Stop-Libya-from-Creating-Gold-Backed-Currency
Qaddafi was not killed for humanitarian purposes but for the oil and for money. His ideas of an African gold-backed currency were his major undoing.
The recent Hillary Clinton email leaks have opened a can of worms everywhere including in Africa. Wikileaks released an unclassified U.S. Department of State document emailed to Clinton, dated April 2, 2011. Sidney Blumenthal, the sender of the email confirmed what the world already suspected. Qaddafi was not killed for humanitarian purposes but for the oil and for money. His ideas of an African gold-backed currency were his major undoing.
In April 2011, then President of the World Bank, Robert Bruce Zoellick spoke at a panel discussion about how he hoped the World Bank would have some sort of role in the reconstruction of Libya along with other countries.
“Reconstruction now means (Ivory Coast), it now means Southern Sudan, it means Liberia, it means Sri Lanka, I hope it will mean Libya,” he said.
To the ordinary person, this was the World Bank hoping to come in to help a failing state but to Economist John Perkins, the World Bank was not to be considered as fulfilling its supposed mandate. It was in actual fact a U.S. bank together with its sibling, the IMF. The United States controls about 16% of the World Bank while the second largest member, Japan has a paltry 7%. The United States again has around 17% voting rights in the International Monetary Fund. His point was that these institutions were and still are extensions of the Western foreign policy.
“So, we might ask ourselves: What happens when a “rogue” country threatens to bring the banking system that benefits the corporatocracy to its knees?” he asked later saying the Western empire has a standing army (NATO) to violently protect its position.
Libya was the “rogue” nation but the question is: Just what did Gaddafi have in mind?
According to the IMF, Libya’s Central Bank is 100% state owned and in 2011, it was estimated to have 144 tons of gold in its vaults. Muammar Gaddafi’s plan was to introduce a gold-backed currency which he hoped African and Muslim nations would adopt. He felt it could rival the euro and the dollar, and rightly so too.
Sidney Blumenthal, in his email to Hillary Clinton confirmed, “Qaddafi’s government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver. During late March, 2011 these stocks were moved to SABHA (south west in the direction of the Libyan border with Niger and Chad); taken from the vaults of the Libyan Central Bank in Tripoli.”
He went on to say the gold and silver was valued at $7 billion and was one of the reasons Nicolas Sarkozy embarked on a French attack of Libya.
“Sarkozy’s plans are driven by the following issues:
a. A desire to gain a greater share of Libya oil production,
b. Increase French influence in North Africa,
c. Improve his internal political situation in France,
d. Provide the French military with an opportunity to reassert its position in the world,
e. Address the concern of his advisors over Qaddafi’s long term plans to supplant France as the dominant power in, Francophone Africa,” wrote Blumenthal.
If Qaddafi had succeeded, the United States of America and Europe would have been forced to buy oil and minerals in the gold backed currency thus tipping the scales. This was a horror the West dared not experience. The situation would have been a more lethal re-enactment of Saddam Hussein’s currency wars when he supported the new Euro currency at the expense of the United States Dollar. At this point, the U.S. was highly insecure about the effects of the new currency to its economy. Hussein’s decision to sell oil in the then new currency was a blow to the U.S. worsened by the proclamation that the dollar was the “currency of the enemy”. Currency wars have therefore been a fact of history with the Hussein situation being a peculiar intra-Western conflict that culminated in the Middle East instability promulgated by U.S. interventionist policies. That Qaddafi would be killed for planning to introduce an African currency to the fray is not surprising but that does not make it acceptable.
The leaked Clinton email has far-reaching implications on the fluid state of post-colonial relations with the West. If anything, it is an eye-opener. Where Africa seeks to build an independent economic structure, the West is seen to try and derail those plans so as to retain its primacy in world affairs.
With regard to the creation of a new currency, Ministry of Peace Founder, Dr James Thring said, “It’s one of those things that you have to plan almost in secret, because as soon as you say you’re going to change over from the dollar to something else, you’re going to be targeted.”
And Qaddafi was targeted. He may not have been the most democratic leader in the world but Libyan citizens had arguably the best way of life in Africa. His plan of action (without the human rights violations) should be a blueprint for African development.

NEWSSHOCKING: Buhari Almost Shed Tears After Seeing How N3.1Trillion Was Stolen By Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari, who had thought that he had seen the worst of how corrupt practices have in the last few years brought Nigeria to her knees, last week, almost lost his cool when it was brought to his attention that a whopping $16billion – at the official exchange rate of N196, this comes to N3.136 trillion; while, with the parallel market rate of N315, it comes to a whopping N5.04trillion – of the nation’s crude oil revenue loss could be traced to some sharp practices by some individuals in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Muhammadu-Buhari-cries-for-Nigeria
The quantum of funds in question are revenue that ought to have accrued to Federal Government through oil-lifting deals which are now subject of intensive investigations.Specifically, one of the arrow heads of the crude oil lifting scam who has been invited and interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, at least twice before, has been granted administrative bail, and “who is alleged to be warehousing a sizable chunk of the money, drew the ire of Mr. President”, an Aso Rock Presidential Villa source disclosed.
According to Vanguard, even visiting South African President, Jacob Zuma, was caught in the cross winds of Buhari’s reinvigorated anti-graft stand, as he said every kobo of the stolen funds must be recovered.Similarly, information suggests that the United States government is helping in the provision of intelligence on how to trace some of the stolen funds from Nigeria that were secretly moved out.
Benin Republic and South Africa have both become safe havens for Nigeria’s stolen funds.
$16BILLION
According to Aso Rock insiders, the funds were “supposed to be proceeds from some of the crude oil sold on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria by these people and for which they were said not to have made the necessary returns to the coffers of the country”.
Continuing, one of the sources said: “You needed to have been there. You needed to have seen Mr. President. He was almost moved to tears at the colossal fraud that had taken place in the country.
“He became dejected because at a time when the nation’s resources had gone down badly, at a time when the foreign reserves are also not as much as would be befitting of a nation with vast potentials, such a huge amount of money can be traced to the illegal activities of some people.
“But Mr. President has ordered that every kobo must be recovered. Whatever it takes, he has made it clear that those funds must be recovered.”
Records of the oil-lifting schedules, timelines of transactions as well as proceeds that were meant to have accrued to government, the source said, “showed that some people just constituted themselves into a parallel government and were just making away with the nation’s resources.”
TRACING STOLEN FUNDS
Powerful forces in the Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency were neck deep in the mindless looting. As part of its bilateral agreement on intelligence sharing and anti-money laundering surveillance, the US government is collaborating with the Buhari administration on how to trace some of the stolen funds.
It was discovered that whereas the Federal Government has relaxed its forex policy, there has been a heavy movement of cash (in dollars) from Benin Republic back into the system in Nigeria.
The simmering diplomatic row between Nigeria and South Africa, sources disclosed, has more to do with the seeming unwillingness of the South African government to repatriate alleged stolen funds that have been traced to that country.
“This was part of what President Zuma came to resolve with Nigeria during his visit last week.”

Jonathan Blasts Buhari Over Corruption, Challenges Him

GEJ, Jonathan blasts BuhariBuhari, who was Jonathan's rival during the presidential elections, condemned the fuel scarcity that hit former President Jonathan's regime as president.
Buhari
The ex-president has however referred back to that comment, saying;
Nigeria's productivity is being hindered due to the countless man hours spent on petrol stations today.
Jonathan also condemned Buhari's method of tackling corruption. He said that his strategy for combating corruption is not by indiscriminate arrest and jail of people.
I stand by due process. Any country that does not respect due process is a jungle,” Mr. Jonathan said.
They say to be strong is to jail people indiscriminately. For 300 years. Is that where we're going to?”
